Science
We will be studying Life, Earth and Physical sciences throughout the year. Students will be using a textbooks, work sheets, experiments and ipads to complete outcomes. In the Spring students will be participating in the Science Fair as well as the Science State Assessment.
Science Fair
The 5th and 6th grade science fair will be held on Thursday, March 10th. All 5th grade students will be required to participate in this fun and exciting event.
**Science Fair Important Dates to Remember**
January 18—Decide on your topic for the Science Fair.
January 25—Think about the problem you want to investigate. Think about the question you want to ask.
January 28—State your hypothesis.
***Be prepared to tell Mrs. Henry your ideas on these dates!
February 8--Materials list due to your teacher. (You will type this on your iPad first.)
February 29—Final day to order a display board from Mrs. Henry (or you may purchase your own board). Cost will be $3.
February 1-14—Plan and conduct your experiment (Experiments may takes extensive time). You may need to conduct your experiment more than once.
February 15 to March 8—Plan and complete all paperwork. Construct your display board. REMEMBER NEATNESS COUNTS!
Thursday, March 10—All projects set up by 12:00 noon. Displays open by 5:45 pm.
